BACKGROUND
Redefining MUA's Online Presence
The Makeup Academy (MUA) needed a comprehensive overhaul of their digital presence to better reflect their brand and enhance user engagement. As a mid-project lead at 1SEO, I collaborated closely with MUA’s President to deeply understand their brand identity and market positioning. My role encompassed redesigning and reconstructing the website from scratch, focusing on both front-end and back-end development, and integrating new technologies to elevate the user experience.

CHALLENGE
- Outdated Website Design:
The existing website was visually unappealing and failed to represent the dynamic and creative nature of the makeup industry. - Poor User Experience:
Navigation was cumbersome, leading to a high bounce rate and low user retention. - Inefficient CMS:
The content management system was not user-friendly, making updates and content management a difficult process. - Low Traffic and Conversions:
The site struggled to attract and retain visitors, impacting overall conversions and lead generation.
RESULTS
- Enhanced User Engagement: The new website design significantly improved user navigation and overall experience, leading to longer visit durations and reduced bounce rates.
- Increased Traffic and Conversions:
Strategic SEO optimizations and engaging content resulted in a substantial increase in organic traffic and higher conversion rates. - Streamlined Content Management:
The updated CMS allowed for easier content updates, enabling MUA to maintain a fresh and relevant online presence.
